Jul 31, 2024 Lots of good news over the past few weeks:
Mar 31, 2024 We’re very excited to share Dunja Simicic’s pre-print on using 2D linear-combination modeling to directly integrate frequency-and-phase correction of individual transients. This exciting work is the first application of our new, completely overhauled Osprey modeling module first described in Helge’s (also brand-new at Magn Reson Med) paper. Very cool times ahead.
Mar 05, 2024 Helge has been promoted to Instructor of Radiology and Radiological Science!
Aug 31, 2023 Dr. Helge Zöllner has been awarded a highly prestigious and lucrative K99 Career Development Award from the National Institute on Aging entitled “Brain metabolism across the lifespan using multi-parametric MRS”. This is an outstanding reward for his ever-growing contributions and a fantastic opportunity. Congratulations, Helge!
Jul 14, 2023 Our paper on a continuous automated MRS data analysis workflow is now out - well done Helge!
Jun 14, 2023 Welcome to our new group member, postdoctoral fellow Dunja Simicic who joins us from EPFL in Lausanne!
Feb 28, 2023 Another hepatic encephalopathy paper for Helge Zöllner from our Düsseldorf times! We show that GABA+ levels decrease in the motor cortex and increase in the cerebellum in HE patients. Congrats Helge!
Nov 30, 2022 New paper by Helge Zöllner on modeling short-TE spectra with single-subject measured macromolecular profiles - out now in NMR Biomed!
Oct 01, 2022 A little quarterly roundup blog for Q3: a new grant, the MRS workshop in Lausanne, and some HBCD study things!
Mar 04, 2022 Welcome Chris Davies-Jenkins, our new postdoctoral fellow! And new major paper alert - congratulations to our friend and collaborator Alex Craven (Bergen University) for publishing our comparison of 7 different linear-combination algorithms for edited MRS of GABA! see blog post!
Oct 28, 2021 NMR in Biomedicine has published our extensive methodological paper on linear-combination modeling strategies for GABA-edited MEGA-PRESS data. To quote one of our reviewers: “The figures are also exceptionally well done – Edward Tufte (The Visual Display of Quantitative Information) would definitely approve.” Congratulations Helge Zöllner!
Jul 29, 2021 We have received a BriteStar award ($12,500) from the Department of Radiology and Radiological Science at Johns Hopkins University to develop techniques for simultaneous assessment of IDH mutation status, 1p/19q codeletion status, glutathione, and lactate levels in low-grade gliomas with in-vivo magnetic resonance spectroscopy at 3T! :trophy: :fire:
Jun 08, 2021 Helge Zöllner won a poster award for his pitch on reproducible MRS research methods at the annual ISMRM MR Spectroscopy Study Group Business Meeting. :trophy:
May 18, 2021 The specfitlab has moved to a new website! :sparkles:
